Application Instructions

IT IS A VIOLATION OF FEDERAL LAW TO USE THIS PRODUCT IN A MANNER INCONSISTENT WITH ITS LABELING. PRODUCT CAN BE APPLIED BY ROLLER, BRUSH OR AIRLESS SPRAYER. Use in a well ventilated area.The preparation process should be followed to ensure adequate penetration and optimum performance of this product. For use on Concrete, Brick, Tile, Stucco, Pavers, cementaceous materials, travertine, flagstone, stone, marble, granite, driveways, garage floors, industrial floors, or basement floors. Not for use on acrylic surfaces, corion, vinyl or linoleum flooring.NOTE: All surfaces require proper surface preparation. Dirt and stains will be permanently sealed into the surface if not removed prior to application.

1. You must completely remove any and all previous coatings, sealers, paints, stains, preservatives, etc. before applying Timber OX Sealer. The surface must be completely cleaned and dry before applying Timber OX Sealer.
2. Timber OX Sealer penetrates into the surface. To be sure there is nothing to prevent Timber OX Sealer from penetrating, test the surface by sprinkling water on the surface. If all the water is absorbed into the surface you are ready to apply Timber OX Sealer (after surface has dried at least 24 hours) NOTE: Remove any other pre-existing coatings, sealers, preservatives, etc.
3. If Timber OX Sealer is applied over another coating, sealer, paint, stain, preservative, etc., the surface may become tacky, blotchy or discolored.

BEFORE COATING
Perform a trial brush out in an inconspicuous area to ensure the desired coverage and appearance is achieved. This product will not repair existing damage such as cracking or crumbling concrete. Make sure entire surface is completely dry and free of dust, dirt and debris. Cover all surrounding areas not intended to be coated. Mix thoroughly before use and stir occasionally during application. Do not tint, dilute or mix this product with any other product. Do not spray in windy/breezy conditions.

APPLICATION
Apply product between 50° and 85°F to a clean dry surface, and when no precipitation is expected for 24 hours. To prevent premature evaporation do not apply to a surface that is hot or in direct sunlight. Apply with a natural or synthetic brush, roller or airless sprayer. When spraying, work on a 30 to 40 square foot area at a time, making sure to back brush any drips, runs, uneven coverage or surface puddles. Do not over saturate surface with product or allow puddling to prevent tackiness, excessive drying time or uneven appearance when dry.

Horizontal surfaces
APPLY ONE (1) LIBERAL, UNIFORM COAT ON HORIZONTAL SURFACES. Thoroughly coat all exposed surfaces until surfaces will not absorb additional product. Avoid Puddling. A second coast is only recommended for extremely porous surfaces. Check the penetration rate of the first 30 sq ft. area coated. If the coating is dry to the touch in 15 minutes or less, a second light coat may be applied not later than one hour after the first coat. Only half the amount is necessary for the second coat.

Vertical Surfaces
APPLY TWO (2) WET-ON-WET COASTS ON SURFACE. Do not allow product to dry fully between coasts. Apply second coat within 6 hours of the first coat. This product must penetrate the surface to work properly – do not apply over a sealed surface. Do not use as a primer coat. Clean up over-spray, drips or splashes with mineral spirits.

DRY TIME
Allow a minimum of 24 to 48 hours before allowing traffic on surface. Test surface for dryness prior to use.

COVERAGE
Coverage varies depending on type of surface.. Allow 1 gallon per 150 square feet of surface area.CLEAN UP: Use mineral spirits or citrus based cleaner.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Inspect surface annually using this simple test. Sprinkle a few drops of water on the surface. If the water beads, the surface is still protect. Test again in 6 months. If the water is readily absorbed by the surface, it is time to apply another coat of Timber OX Sealer. An annual cleaning of mild soap and water is recommended.
